Jordi Alcaraz - Skulpturen

Seit dem 25. Mai beherbergt die Galerie van der Voort in Dalt Vila eine Ausstellung des katalanischen Künstlers Jordi Alcaraz. Seine Arbeiten verbinden Malerei, Skulptur und Poesie. Er verarbeitet natürliche Materialien wie Stein, Eisen, Papier und es entstehen Objekte, welche nicht nur das Auge des Betrachters ansprechen. Sie laden zum Berühren und zum Lauschen ein: Wasser bewegt sich in einer Steinskulptur, Papier trifft auf Metall. Jordi Alcaraz, geboren 1963 in Calella, studierte Malerei und Grafik an der Escola d’Arts i Oficis Massana de Barcelona. Seit 1987 erteilt er an nationalen und internationalen Instituten Kurse der grafischen Kunst. Während der letzten 15 Jahre nahm er an zahlreichen Einzel- und Kollektivausstellungen im In- und Ausland teil, wie zum Beispiel in Madrid, Barcelona, Girona, Palma, in Canada, der Schweiz und Deutschland. Seine Objekte und Skulpturen waren 1997, 98 und 99 auf der internationalen Kunstmesse Arco in Madrid vertreten. In etlichen bibliografischen Werken, die in Zusammenarbeit mit bekannten spanischen Poeten entstanden, verbindet er seine Kunst mit dem geschriebenen Wort. Alcaraz Beziehung zur Galerie van der Voort begann 1994 mit der Gemeinschaftsausstellung Caixes. Die Ausstellung läuft bis ca. 25. Juni.

Malerei und Skulptur in der Galerie Alhadros

Der Kunstwettbewerb der für Mai in der Galerie Alhadros geplant war, wurde bis auf weiteres verschoben. Am 1. Juni um 20h stellt die Galerie Arbeiten des mallorquinischen Malers Gerardo Rodriguez vor. Er malt mit Acryl auf Karton oder Leinwand, verwendet Wachs, Pigmente und Vinyl um Akzente zu setzen. Geometrische und symmetrische Formen, vertikale und horizontale Linien, Kreise, Elypsen bestimmen seine Werke, die zum großen Teil in Ocker und Blautönen gehalten sind.1962 organisiert er seine erste Ausstellung in der Lonja in Palma de Mallorca. Gefolgt von Ausstellungen auf seiner Heimatinsel, in Barcelona, Girona, Madrid und London. Am 16. Juni um 20h präsentiert das Alhadros dann die Draht-Papier- und Holzobjekte des Künstlers Tauste. 1944 in Granada geboren, siedelt er nach 20 Jahren Großstadtleben in Barcelona Anfang der 80er nach Ibiza um. Fotografie und Film sind seine Leidenschaften, erst auf Ibiza widmet er sich der Malerei und bereitet Ausstellungen vor. Die Freude an der Skulptur und am Objekt entdeckte er erst vor vier Jahren. Tauste stellte bereits in diversen Galerien Ibizas aus und auch in Barcelona, Palma, Sevilla und Granada. Die Arbeiten Taustes können bis Ende Juni im Alhadros besichtigt werden.

Fotografie, Malerei und Visuelles Theater in der Sala Sa Nostra

Die fotografische Ausstellung Blue-Tack von Miguel Czernikowski in der Sala Sa Nostra Ibiza endet am 7. Juni. Am 10. Juni um 20h präsentiert die Galerie die Werke Pere Alemanys. Wie im Mai bietet die Sala Sa Nostra auch im Juni wieder Kinoabende, Konzerte und Einführungen in die Welt der klassischen Musik (sh. Kalender). Ein Spektakel der besonderen Art erwartet Theaterfreunde am 30. Juni um 20h: Visuelles Theater: Quan ses bistis volaven. Die mallorquinische Theatergruppe Au Ments verbindet Gestik, Tanz, traditionelle mallorquinische Gesänge und Poesie. Als Requisiten verwenden sie Symbole der Zivilisation: Zeitungspapier, Bücher und Texte, die über Bildschirme oder Leinwand flimmern. Das Theaterspektakel hat sozialkritischen Charakter, es will zum Nachdenken anregen. Entsprechend sind die Themen gewählt: Umweltzerstörung- und Verschmutzung, der Verlust der historischen Erinnerung, der Exzess im Medien- und Informationsbereich. Es setzt auf Symbole und regt Emotionen an.

Auf Formentera zeigt die Sala Sa Nostra noch bis 18. Juni Poster und Plakate des visuellen Poeten Joan Brossa und vom 23. Juni bis 16. Juli wird der Maler Joan Moreno seine Arbeiten vorstellen.

Jordi Alcaraz - Sculptures

From May 25th until June 25th, the gallery Van der Voort presents sculptures by the Catalan artist Jordi Alcaraz. His works combine painting, sculpture and poetry, using natural materials, such as stones, iron and paper. Objects, which not only stimulate the eye of the observer - but also invite to touch, to listen: water is floating in stone sculptures, iron meets paper. Jordi Alcaraz was born in Calella in 1963 and studied painting and graphics at the Escola d’ Arts i Oficis Massana in Barcelona. During the last 15 years he took part in countless collective and solo national and international exhibitions in Madrid, Girona, Barcelona, Palma,  Canada, Switzerland and Germany.  His pieces were represented at the international art fair Arco in Madrid in 1997, 1998 and 1999. In various bibliographical works with famous Spanish poems he combines his art with the written word.

Painting and Sculptures at Gallery Alhadros

The art competition originally planned for May had to be postponed. On June 1st at 8pm the paintings of the Mallorcan artist Gerardo Rodriguez will be inaugurated. He paints with acrylic colours on corrugated cardboard and canvas, using wax, pigments and vinyl. His geometrical and symmetrical forms, vertical and horizontal lines, circles and ellipses, dominate his works and are mostly coloured in ochres or blue tones. In 1962 he organized his first exhibition in the Lonja at Mallorca, followed by several others in Ibiza, Barcelona, Madrid, Gerona and London.

June 16th at 8pm is the opening night for the presentation of sculptures and other objects of the Granadian artist Tauste. Originally working in the photography and film professions, he discovered his passion for painting after he moved to Ibiza at the beginning of the eighties. Since then, for many years he has been working on sculptures, combining  paper, wood and wires. He has exhibited  his pieces in various galleries on the mainland,  for example, in Barcelona, Palma, Sevilla and Granada. The works by Tauste can be seen until the end of June.

Photography, Paintings and Visual Theatre at Sala Sa Nostra

The photographic exhibition Blue-Tack by Miguel Czernikowski will end on June 7th. From June 10th at 8pm, the Sala presents works by Pere Aleman As in May, the Sa Nostra continues with films, concerts and theoretical introductions into the world of classical music. A special show on June 30th might be interesting, even though it has a Catalan title. “Quan ses Bistis Volaven”, performed by the Mallorcan Theatre gruop Au Ments, has social critical overtones. Gestures, dances and traditional mallorcan music is combined with stage props, representing symbols of human civilisation: all kinds of paper, newspapers, books and texts displayed on screens denounce the destroying of the environment, pollution, loss of historical memories and excess in the media and information systems. Au Ments work with symbols and touches emotions.

The Sala sa nostra at Formentera will show the posters of Joan Brossa until June 18th and from June 23rd until July 16th the Sala presents paintings by Joan Moreno.
